PRX-T33 at Amina Beauty

PRX-T33 is one of the treatments we are asked about most at our Dunstable clinic, often by people who want fresher, smoother skin but cannot take a week out for a traditional peel. Clients come to us from Houghton Regis, Luton and the villages around, and many book it in a lunch break or before the school run because there is usually nothing to hide afterwards.

It is sometimes called a peel, but it behaves quite differently. Instead of making the skin shed, it is designed to work beneath the surface, so the skin looks brighter and feels firmer over a course rather than flaking away.

Every course starts with a free consultation with Amina, so we can look at your skin, talk through what you would like to change and check PRX-T33 is the right choice.

What Is PRX-T33?

PRX-T33 combines trichloroacetic acid (TCA) at 33% with hydrogen peroxide, which moderates the acid so it does not cause the surface damage you would normally expect from TCA at that strength. Kojic acid is added to help with uneven tone. The result is often described as biorevitalisation: the formula is intended to stimulate the deeper layers of the skin while the surface stays largely intact.

The product is not brushed on. Amina massages it into the skin in thin layers using gloved fingertips, working area by area until the skin has taken up enough. This hands-on method is part of how the treatment works, and it feels more like a firm massage than a peel.

Because there are no needles and usually little or no visible peeling, PRX-T33 suits people who want a gradual improvement without obvious downtime. It can also be used on body areas such as stretch marks, the neck, chest and hands.

What Happens on the Day

  1. Consultation and skin check

We go through your medical history, current skincare and any medication, then look closely at your skin. If anything means PRX-T33 is not suitable, we will tell you honestly and suggest an alternative.

  2. Cleanse and prepare

Your skin is cleansed and degreased so the product can work evenly. Hair is tied back and the eyes and lips are protected.

  3. Layered application

Amina massages PRX-T33 into the skin in layers with gloved fingertips, usually several passes per area. You may feel warmth, tingling or a short spell of itching, which settles quickly.

  4. Remove and soothe

Once the skin has absorbed enough, the product is removed with water and a soothing cream is applied to calm the skin.

  5. Aftercare and next session

We explain exactly what to use at home over the next few days and book your next session, usually about a week later.

Aftercare

  • Use the post-treatment cream we give you as directed
  • Wear SPF 30 or higher every day and limit sun exposure
  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms and hard exercise for 24 hours
  • Pause retinoids and exfoliating acids for a few days
  • Do not pick at the skin if any light flaking appears
  • Message us on WhatsApp if anything concerns you

PRX-T33 Questions

Will my skin peel after PRX-T33?
Most people see little or no visible peeling. Some notice slight dryness or very light flaking for a day or two, particularly after the later sessions. It is far less than you would expect from a conventional TCA peel.
How many sessions will I need?
A course is typically 3 to 5 sessions about a week apart. Some people see a brighter look after the first session, while changes to texture and fine lines build gradually. Everyone's skin responds differently, so we cannot promise a particular result.
Who should not have PRX-T33?
It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over broken, infected or sunburnt skin, or if you have an active cold sore. We also need to know about recent facial procedures, skin conditions and any medication that affects the skin. We will go through this at your consultation.
I live in Luton. Is the clinic easy to reach?
Yes. Our Dunstable clinic is a short drive from Luton and Houghton Regis, and clients also travel from Leighton Buzzard, Toddington, Hertfordshire and North London. The exact address is sent when you book, and you can message us on WhatsApp for directions.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
We suggest leaving your skin bare for the rest of the day. From the next day, light make-up is usually fine unless your skin feels irritated.
